
Head coach and owner Monica (Lehmkuhle) McKeddie has been involved in gymnastics for over 20 years! She started at age 10 at the YMCA in Van Wert, and went on to attend the Delphos Gymnastics Academy. At 11 she competed in her first state competition. Monica excelled through the gymnastics rating scale competing, 6 more times at state, ending her high school career at a level 9.
While in high school Monica competed for the Delphos St. Johns Gymnastics team as well as continuing her private individual competitions. During Monica’s junior year she placed second on bars, and first on beam, vault, floor, and all-around at the district meet. She earned a fifth place medal on vault at State. Monica’s senior year brought her a district title and her highest all-around ever (36.10).

From 2000-2004 Monica coached the Delphos St. Johns Gymnastics Team, leading them to 4 state meets. In 2004, Delphos St. Johns canceled the gymnastics program. From 2001-2004 Monica also coached the St. John’s Competition Cheerleading Squad and was able to compete at state, where they placed each time.
From 2005-2008 Monica coached Gymnastics, Fitness and Kickboxing classes at the Van Wert YMCA. There, she coached the Van Wert Air Cats, a team consisting of students from levels 4-8. Monica is looking forward to bringing this wonderful sport to Van Wert and teaching your children to live healthy and exercise.
